On February 8, 2017 playing with my regular group at San Angelo Country Club,in San Angelo, Texas, we started on number 10. The pin was on the back of the green 157 yards from the tee box. We had two groups of five. There was a group of five women teeing off on number 1. ( Share a common tee box) my beautiful wife was in the group of women. Looking down hill at the green with the Concho River off to the right ,10 to 15 mph wind from left to right, it was my turn to hit. I chose my 6 iron and hit the shot. Landed 10 feet short and left of the pin hopped once and rolled into the cup. I dropped my club, raised my hands in triumph ( and amazement ) saw all 9 of my group stunned and grinning from ear to ear. I turned to see my wife raising her finger ( indicating a one )in the air and she ran over to give me a big hug and a kiss. The ball I used is a black Titelest ProV1 # 69. Yes really a # 69. Saved the ball and have a special place for it on my desk.
