Titleist at Augusta National

Posted: April 3, 2007

The Titleist Tour Team is at Augusta National this week to help our Titleist players prepare for the Masters. We thought we'd share some pictures with you from early in the week. Hope you enjoy!

Who's name will be on top late Sunday afternoon?

Titleist Director of Leadership Promotion Mac Fritz (left) and Vice-President of Business Development & Partnership Peter Broome join Titleist ambassador Brett Quigley for a photo op.

Master putter maker Scotty Cameron talking to Titleist Pro V1x player Kenneth Ferrie of England.

Scotty talking to Augusta Chronicle reporter Kamille Bostick. Look for a story on Scotty in Friday's Lifestyle section of the Chronicle.

Steve Mata stops for a picture under "the big oak tree" next to the Augusta National Clubhouse. The "big oak" is approximately 150 years old and is a favorite gathering place during the Masters.

It takes a well-coordinated effort and an early start to get prepared for the year's first Major.

Just another great view into perhaps, next to the Old Course at St.Andrews & Pebble Beach, the best place on earth to play golf! Merci for the insight & awesome pictures. Someday I swear I'm going to get to see the Masters...it's a life-long dream!

Congrats to Brett Quigley! I heard he had to fly home because his wife went into delivery with their first baby! Nice picture!

Attending a practice round at the Masters last year with my father was THE highlight of my 35 years playing this great game.  And it doesn't have to be expensive.  We did the flight, hotel, rental car and practice round tickets all for around $1,400 ($700 each).  We did not get to see many players but from almost anywhere in the country you can attend a PGA Tour event if that is your interest.  I went to the Masters to see the course, and goodness, what a vista!  On TV you just don't get the feel for the elevation changes, and the fairways are mown as tight as your average country club green.   Ham sandwich, $1.50. Beer, $2.00. Masters shirt, $70. Seeing Amen Corner for the first time, priceless!

What is the relationship between Scotty Cameron and Titleist?  Are his clubs a subdivision of Titleist? Thanks for such a great site! Good luck in the Masters!
