It's hard to believe, but it's 2008 and time to get back to work in the Titleist Tour Van as the PGA Tour season gets underway this week at the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Maui. Five of the six Titleist ambassadors who qualified for this winners-only event are teeing it up this week: Charley Hoffman (Bob Hope Chrysler Classic), Nick Watney (Zurich Classic of New Orleans), Zach Johnson (Masters Tournament, AT&T Classic), Steve Stricker (The Barclays), and George McNeill (Fry's Electronics Open). Enjoy these pictures of the guys getting ready for the tournament this week at the beautiful Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort. Not a bad way to break in the new year! Will the players be using one type of Pro V1 over the other due to the high wind conditions?

The new staff bags look great! Just wondering if they will be available in 9.5" and 10.5" versions and, if so, are there any differences between the models other than size?

More information will be available regarding the new bags when they are launched in golf shops this spring.

The players will be sticking with their preferred ball models this week.
Great to have another year start. I have two questions. First, I've noticed that Zach has had a 907D2 in his bag for awhile now testing it against his 905R. Has he switched? Also, are any of the players using any of the new prototype irons that have been floating around the web?

Do you have any new Vokey news? Great pics from Hawaii....must be a tough week of work. Happy New Year.

Nothing new to report on Voke at this point. We'll be sure to get some more great content from him in 2008.

Congratulations on the 2007 year! I was wondering about any news on NEW Titleist clubs that are up and coming for 2008? Keep up the good work for the best in the world!

Zach is still using his trusted 905R this week, although he has been testing a 907D2 with various shafts during the off-season. No prototype irons are in play this week at Kapalua.

Okay, where's Mata? He has a large following here in Massachusetts. Mata..Mata..Mata!

I noticed the prototype putter in Nick Watney's bag. I am wondering when or even if this putter will be in golf shops. Thanks for the time.

I want a Scotty Cameron Squareback now!

Mata was behind the camera last week in Kapalua taking the spectacular images at the Mercedes-Benz Championship. And we suspect he has a large following wherever the Titleist Tour Van travels!

Any news on the new additions to Adam Scott's bag? I see he has the new AP2 irons, and possibly a change in shafts.
JAK wrote on January 20, 2008 at 9:01PM
Adam has been playing the new Titleist AP2 irons, but he is still using Dynamic Gold X-100 shafts.
