Welcome to the Nordea Masters

Next stop for the European Tour this week is the ever popular Nordea Masters taking place at the PGA Sweden National at Bara, Malmö.  The event regularly attracts upwards of 100,000 spectators and has attracted some of the world's best to tee it up.

Titleist Brand Ambassadors in the field and already contending for the front of the leaderboard are Victor Dubuisson, Rafa Cabrera-Bello, and rising star Kevin Phelan.  Also doing well are Pro V1x loyalists Thongchai Jaidee, and home favourite Henrik Stenson.

Make sure you stay tuned to Team Titleist for more updates.

Moments after rolling in a birdie putt to capture the 2014 Crowne Plaza Invitational title, Adam Scott checked in with the Golf Channel to share some thoughts on his latest win.

At the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, Titleist Brand Ambassadors Adam Scott and Jason Dufner put on stellar displays of shot making and determination in the final round that lead to both men carding 4-under 66’s to finish regulation at 9-under 271. After matching each other shot-for-shot on the first two playoff holes, Scott converted a 7-foot birdie putt on the third hole to capture his 11th career PGA Tour win.

On the Web.com Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador Byron Smith (Pro V1x) fired a final round 5-under par 66 to win the Rex Hospital Open for his first career title. Smith, who shared the 54-hole lead following a blistering 8-under par 63 on Saturday, distanced himself from the rest of the field on Sunday en route to a 16-under 268 victory total.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Ki Sang Lee (Pro V1x) captured the Munsingwear Match Play on the Korean Tour following a 2 and 1 victory in the final match. Lee never trailed in the championship match en route to his second career victory.

At the Lombard Insurance Classic on the Sunshine Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador Christiaan Basson (Pro V1x) carded a final round 10-under par en route to capturing his third career Sunshine Tour title. Basson's 29 on the back nine propelled him to a five stroke victory.

And rounding out the weekend of success, Pro V1x loyalist Julian Etulain took home top honors at the Lexus Panama Classic on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.

With five more wins this week, Titleist’s year-to-date victory count advances to 65. That's more than four times the nearest competitor with 15 and more than all competitors combined.

In total, 9,300 players have teed up Titleist golf balls in competition on the 2014 worldwide professional tours, more than six times the nearest competitor with 1,463 and more than all competitors combined.

On Wednesday Steven and Andrew, the winners of our Ultimate Team Titleist Prize, headed to Wentworth to participate in the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am.

Steven was lucky enough to win the 1st place prize of playing alongside Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter Uihlein. We met our prize winners the night before and both confessed to have been feeling quite nervous. The Pro-Am was a shot gun start and the group started on the 9th. But there was no sign of nerves on the course as Steven birdied the first to get the team off to a great start.

Steven played great golf round the West Course, including some memorable moments like getting his name on the long drive marker and receiving a great applause from the crowd for his approach to the 18th.

The runner up prize was the honour of carrying Peter’s bag for the entire round. Peter’s regular Major winning caddy, Rickie Roberts, was on hand to give plenty of advice. Andrew was stunned to have won such a great prize and by the end of the round had learnt much about what it takes to caddy for a Tour Pro in a big event.

Steven was presented with a signed Titleist Tour Bag by Peter and both Steven and Andrew received a year’s supply of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls.

All in all a great day had by all and our thanks to Peter and Rickie for their help in making it a memorable day for everyone.

Stay tuned to Team Titleist for more exclusive competitions in the future.
