Hear From the Experts: Dr. Chuck Golden

With over 21 years of experience at Acushnet Company, Chuck leads the Club R&D Team of scientists, engineers, designers, machinists, technicians, and testers who are challenged with designing and developing the best-performing golf clubs in the industry.  With over 150 club patents, his career encompasses 25 years of dedication to golf club performance and innovation across all product categories in various research, product development, and management roles. 


In addition to working with our Legal Team to strengthen Acushnet’s Club I.P. portfolio, he enjoys collaborating with our Sales, Operations, Product Marketing, Tour Leadership, and Club Fitting Teams to deliver world-class products and technologies that allow avid golfers to play their best.  Chuck earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and his Ph.D. in Geophysics, both from the University of California at San Diego in La Jolla.
