The Candy Shop
Posted: May 18, 2007
A comment came in last week that Tour players must be like kids in a candy shop with all of the equipment at their disposal each week. While it's true that the guys on Tour can get their hands on pretty much any piece of equipment they want (within the confines of any applicable equipment contracts), there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, playing golf is how these guys make a living, so they tend to stick with equipment they trust and aren't looking to make significant changes from week-to-week. Second, as the best players in the world, our Titleist ambassadors perform a significant function for the company by performance-validating the prototype products we develop for potential introduction to golf shops. We're happy to let them try out any and all new products they ask for!
Check out the pictures below featuring an assortment of clubs we have already made up in the Tour Van, just waiting to be tried out.
