When the 2011 Solheim Cup tees off under Irish skies Friday at Killeen Castle, the majority of players competing in women's golf's most prestigious team event will place their trust in Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls.Fourteen of the 24 players named to this year's United States and European Solheim Cup teams are Titleist golf ball players, nearly five times the nearest competitor with three and more than all competitors combined.On the United States' side, eight of the 12 team members will be relying on Titleist golf balls for their success: Cristie Kerr (Pro V1), Stacy Lewis (Pro V1x), Angela Stanford (Pro V1), Brittany Lincicome (Pro V1x), Brittany Lang (Pro V1x; pictured right), Juli Inkster (Pro V1), Christina Kim (Pro V1x) and Ryann O'Toole (Pro V1).The European side features six Titleist golf ball players: Christel Boeljon (Pro V1), Maria Hjorth (Pro V1), Catriona Matthew (Pro V1x), Azahara Muñoz (Pro V1), Caroline Hedwall (Pro V1) and Karen Stupples (Pro V1x).A total of 1,481 players have teed up Titleist golf balls on the 2011 LPGA, more than nine times the nearest competitor with 160 and more than all competitors combined.Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x players have combined for 10 wins through this season's first 16 LPGA events, as compared to two wins for the nearest competitor.
