I am in interested in the MB 712 Irons - In past years I have been plying Hogan Apex - which are out of production. I am a single digit (LEFT HANDED GOLFER).
I am looking to purchase a solid traditional MB Iron (Left Handed).

Which forged irons Ap2,CB,MB work best with graphite shafts?

Although I truly believe that every iron in the new offering has been upgraded in terms of look and performance, the 712 AP2 really stood out to me. The earlier releases of the AP2 did not have a solid, forged feel, in my opinion, but that feel is undeniable in the 712 series. How did Titleist achieve this feel without sacrificing the forgiveness that we have all come to expect from the AP2 line? Thank you for your time.

I've been playing Titleist AP1 irons for a few years now and really like them. In what ways do the new 712 irons differ and what can I expect in the way of performance improvement?

Very impressed with the update of the AP2's. Can you go over some of the differences between the DG S-300 shaft and the KBS Tour shaft?

I am currently 59 years of age and not getting any younger. I have always played S300 shafts.and have split my set between 3-6 AP 2 and 7-9 710 blades. Question is how much difference in forgiveness are the two irons? I love the feel of the 710. question what shaft would allow me to capture additional yardage without sacrificing the dependability of the S300?

Is the AP2 a forged iron?
Will you offer a custom iron with more bounce?

I am 6'4 with a 13 handicap. Currently looking for a new set of Irons. I have been reviewing other clubs and I notice that certain clubs are 1 to 2 degree stronger lies. My question is over the last three to four years with the new groove rule. How often should a player upgrade their irons? I usually upgrade my driver every year but my Irons seemed to be every 4-5 years... Any recommendations.
Also Shaft's are the most important and what do you recommend for a person who is tall play with 1 inch longer shaft and 3 degree upright....
Thanks

I've been playing for almost 50yrs. & grew up playing muscle back irons. I'm turning 60 soon & will be looking into new irons for my BD.
As a 5 hdcp., are the AP2's or MB irons my best choice as I get more experienced with my game???

I am still playing a set of 762's with DG stiff shafts.
How do the new AP2 irons compare to these in MOI, playability, and workability?
Thanks.

I currently have the AP 1 irons with a regular Titliest 105 shaft. I would like to get fitted ofr the new irons and shorten the shaft. Would Titliest offer a heavier head and shorter shaft from the custom dept?

I am looking at getting myself the new Titleist clubs but I am unsure which set is the right one for me, the AP1 or AP2. What are the major differences between these two sets of clubs

Will the project X flighted 5.5 shaft be a good compliment for the AP 1 Irons ? Or are the heads matched to the specific stock shaft in them ?

I currently am playing an old set of Titleist DCI Delta Gold Irons. I bought the set at Goodwill for a steal ($20) and were in perfect condition. I realize that they are an old model but I do play very well with them. I'd love to upgrade but with 2 kids in college and a fulltime figure skater who will also be attending college soon, I don't feel I should buy a new set for myself but if theirs a big enough reason why I may splurge.
My question is this: Are the advances in the newest Titleist irons significant enough to have promoted an increase the average distance that irons shots travel overall from the current set I'm playing? (all conditions being equal) I'm currently a scratch to +1 golfer and want to know if I could benefit by playing high lofted clubs from greater distances by purchasing the latest and greats Titleist irons.

Are the shafts longer than standard and are the lofts set stronger than standard?

Why do amateur club players have a difficult time getting their balls to spin on the greens? Are they using the wrong clubs or balls?

With the changes in the AP1 do you see more lower handicap players moving from the AP2 or a blade to the AP1?
Ed S wrote on November 17, 2011 at 2:02PM
The changes to the AP1s look aesthetic only. Is there anything significantly different?

I have a set of Titleist 690.CB irons and I cannot see a huge difference between them and the 710CB irons. I am a 5 handicap at 68 years old and love my current set of Titleist irons. There cannot be much of a difference, can there?

I have two questions . I know many OEMs including Titleist are making the lofts on their irons stronger, why is that necessary? Is it to claim that ones irons go further without truely disclosing why or the customers through custom fitting requesting stronger lofts? The second question is can Titleist offer better players clubs with less offset? I think the Zblade you had was the best.
