The European Tour touched down in Africa again this week - North Africa this time - for the Trophee Hassan II at the Golf du Palais Royal in Agadir, Morocco.

Many of the players list this venue as one of their favourites on the European Tour schedule and with its inspiring design and fabulous condition, it is easy to see why. The course itself, at 6844 yards for a par 72, is not overly long and should yield some low scoring.

This week saw some returns to action - Titleist staffer Peter Uihlein, the former world amateur #1, was back after a break and trip back home to the US and Pro V1 loyalist Jamie Donaldson returned after the birth of his son Max last week. Congratulations to Jamie and his wife from all at Titleist.

As we write, the start of the second round has been delayed due to high winds. However, yesterday's opening round saw some strong performances from Titleist ambassadors and ball loyalists alike - mixing it up near the top of the leaderboard are staffers Phillip Price, Ken Ferrie and Matteo Manassero as well as Titleist ball loyalists including Alejandro Canizares, Richard McEvoy, Anthony Wall and Keith Horne.

Let's hope they get out to start round 2 soon to avoid a repeat of the shortened Qatar Masters earlier this season!
