Introducing Golf to Kids

From Dr. Greg Rose On July 26, 2021
One of the great joys of golf is being able to share the experience with your entire family. Introducing your children to the game is particularly special because you're giving them a gift that they can... enjoy for the rest of their lives.

However, there are legitimate concerns about when and how to introduce kids to golf, especially if you have competitive ambitions for your sons and daughters. How hard do you push? How do you maximize their potential? For some answers, we turned to Titleist staff member and TPI co-founder Dr. Greg Rose. In this video Greg shares some study data on the subject and the evidence is clear. The best golfers in the world were athletes as kids. They were encouraged to play a wide variety of sports and they were golfers second.

If you're convinced that your child is the next golf wunderkind, take a step back and follow Greg's advice – develop the athlete first and then develop the golfer. It's a great place to start and will pave the way for your kids to play their best and keep the game fun for a lifetime.
