Hole in One

Hole in One

Beautiful fall day, temperature in low 80's, sunny, little wind. Hole number 8 is a short downhill par 3 with posted yardage from the tees that I hit, 135 yards. I hit a Titleist Tour Distance over the pin which was positioned forward such that the cup was not visible. The ball bounced and spun back toward the front. When my playing partner John Aughinbaugh and I started looking for the ball, we couldn't find it since we had not seen it go in the hole. After looking all around the green, John said, "well we haven't looked in the hole" and he went over to the cup and calmly said "I found your ball".
This is my second hole-in-one and it has been 15 years since my first-- just long enough for me to really appreciate getting this second one. Now, I am on the hunt for number 3. Playing Shady Oaks tomorrow so maybe that will be the day!
