Cold day, warm heart, hat-trick ace!

Cold day, warm heart, hat-trick ace!

California golf weather is normally pretty sensational, but today we had a north wind blowing. I typically wear shorts and a polo shirt, but decided against that today. Ancil Hoffman features trees everywhere and with the leaves dropping, the only safe place for a tee shot is in the fairway or on the green. Hole #5 is 162 yards with a bunker in front of an elevated green. I hit driver towards the bunker but the wind pushed it a little to the right. I knew it got to the green but lost sight of the ball before it hit the ground. My playing partner, Kirt said he thought it went just past the hole, but when we arrived at the green, there wasn't a ball on it. So I looked in the cup and there it was! At 65, my game has gotten shorter and my index has gotten higher. Today was my 93rd round of the year, and my third ace since I recorded my first in 2006. I am indeed fortunate!
