Once was not enuff !!!

Hi gang, After playing golf for 25 yrs and duly congratulating my buds when they scored an ace it finally happened 3 yrs ago to me. Hole #4 at my home course, Franklin Canyon GC in Hercules, Ca. On the 4th hole, playing 167 yds, I chose a 6 iron. The ball had a beautiful baby draw to it, bounced once short of the green, rolled up and disappeared !!! My two (apparently thirsty) buddies were whooping it up and I just calmly raised my hands in silent success. A group on the adjacent fairway heard the ruckus, waived in support and later after the round, took time to congratulate me. I purchased a plaque to remember the day. Thinking that getting a hole-in-one is a lifetime achievement I wondered if I'd ever get another one. On Sept 7 of 2016 I was playing a rather lackluster round, with several hiccups during the day until I got to hole #17 at the same course. I hit a 9 iron downwind to the green 127 yds away. It's all carry to clear a ravine. The ball bounced up and rolled up close to the pin. I stood aside and looked for my ball thru my rangefinder but didn't see it. My partners hit up on the green and I could see their shots. I was riding and they were walking. As I neared the green I didn't see my ball.... In this world of skeptics I waited in my cart until they walked up and we all walked onto the green together. So no one could accuse me of "foot-wedging" the ball in, I waited. I didn't bring a putter as one of my friends asked if I went long. "Noooo, I don't think so" I responded. I stood 4 ft away from the hole, hands behind my back and saw the reflection of my Pro V1 in the hole. I beckoned him over, fist bumps all around....and I had to buy them lunch !!!
