9/18/17 Hole In One - Emerald Greens GC

I was playing in a scramble outing at Emerald Greens GC in St. Louis, MO. Our team was off to a good start making birdies and enjoying a Monday afternoon on the course - nothing beats "working" on the golf course. We came to hole number 6 which was playing 135 yards, with the pin tucked on the front right portion of the green. I typically hit a slight fade, which is the ideal shot for that particular pin. 135 yards is a good number for me, I can hit a really easy, smooth 8 iron and fly that distance. I was using a Titleist DT TruSoft ball. Side note - I happened to get a box of those at another tournament and have been enjoying those balls. They are slightly (but not much) harder feeling than your top tier urethane cover balls, but in my opinion you cannot beat their overall performance for the price. Anyway, back to the story - I teed up, aimed at the center of the green and took an easy swing. Right when I made contact I knew it was a good shot. Felt great and flew really nice, with a slight fade towards the flag. The ball hit the green, and almost immediately checked, right by the pin. From my vantage point it appeared to me that the ball had stopped. I bent down to pick up my tee, and said "Just go in ball!!". Right as I grabbed the tee, my playing partners started going nuts. I turned to look at the green and sure enough the ball had dropped. Needless to say we caused quite a commotion in between #5 green and #7 tee. I will never forget that shot, or the way my group celebrated. It was awesome!
