May 26, 2018 We arrived at Black Lake Golf Club in Onaway, MI. We were not sure if we were going to golf with a high chance of rain in the forcast but I’m sure glad we did. It ended up being a great day and the rain held off. I walked up to the #12 tee box looking at a two tiered green with the hole on the lower level and nothing but trouble if you end up short. I had 135 yards to the pin, PW in hand and a slight breeze in my face as I placed my Titleist Pro v1x #7 on the tee. When I hit it, I knew it had the distance as it flew just over the right side of the pin, 7-10 yards past the hole and into the downslope of the second tier. I watched as it landed and spun back. I knew it was close but I could not see the hole because of a small ridge on the front of the green. When I drove up to the green and I did not see my ball the butterflies kicked in. I walked over to the hole and sure enough.......my first hole in one!!!!! There were High fives and a few hugs! Drinks were bought! My birthday was two days prior.
