On 28 August 2018, hole #12 at Crofton Country Club was playing at 158 yards (i.e. to the back portion of the green). The shot itself is over water to a very difficult green that slopes from back to front . . . and more often than not a certain two putt. Hitting a tee shot above the hole leaves the player with an even more difficult downhill putt which is a significant challenge to get close to the hole and increases the odds of a three putt. My shot was a medium high shot with a slight draw that hit about 10 yards below the hole and rolled straight up the hill and into the cup. Interestingly enough, this was my second hole in one at Crofton Country Club. Both were made with a Titleist Pro V1 and BOTH were with a # 2 ball. Guess what my favorite number is now ?
