So I've been golfing nearly 3 years now. Handicap of around 16. It was late in the day after work. My buddies and I ran to a course nearby, Old Orchard Golf course, NJ. 17th hole, 174 yards to the center. Used my 5 wood, yes I don't hit the ball very far. Aimed slightly left, ball had a slight fade as it usually does and the ball disappeared. We pulled up to the green, I was confused as to where the ball went. It had to be on the green! My buddy says to check the hole. I walk up with my hands in the air to avoid any question of foul play and sure enough, there she was. My Pro VIX with a red mark sitting in the hole. Of course I yell inappropriately, but the guys at the tee box next to us cheered for me, so I guess they didn't mind too much. What a great feeling. What a lucky shot. I'll always remember it.
