Every golfer has that story about being this close to a hole in one. I was no different with a shot that stopped only two rotations away a handful of years ago. So when I approached the par 3 #6 at The Wisconsin River golf course. The thought of getting a hole in one didn't even cross my mind. I was more concerned about carrying the water in front of me and how I was forced to hit towards the sand traps because of the wind. Like so few shots, as soon as I hit it I knew it was right where I wanted it go. My friends started cheering as I watched hoping to just land on the green close to the pin. But once the ball landed and we saw the ball roll closer and closer, cheers turned to shouts and in the back of my head all I kept say was "disappear, disappear". With one last roll we saw the ball disappear and the mad chaos ensued.
