First off, I MADE A HOLE IN ONE!!!!! Now to be more professional about it. I was playing as a guest of and with Butch Davis of Gallatin Tennessee, my father Bill Caruso and one of their friends Doug Smith. This is my first hole in one in 25 plus years of playing golf. The hole was playing 135 yards with a little wind helping off the right so I gripped down on a 9 iron took a smooth swing and played a little draw. I saw the ball land just right of the pin and roll to the left and abruptly disappear. I could not see the bottom of the flag from the tee so I asked Butch if there was a ridge on the front of the green hiding the cup and no answer. Honestly I had a feeling it went in. When we got to the green I saw a ball four feet in front of the hole and another in the fringe as well as one off the green in the back. I looked at the ball short of the hole in the same line as my shot and noticed it was not mine so I looked toward the hole and saw a ball mark approximately two feet right of the cup. At that point I knew it was in the hole but still snuck up on the cup with anticipation. When I saw the black line I draw on the ball for alignment I lost it. I high five'd every one and let out a yell. I had to temper my language a little bit because even at 36 I still try not to swear in front of my dad. Awesome day!!!!
