Aced the par 4!
By Jonesy On April 12, 2016
I was playing for Virgin Mobile in the Wessex Association, Chambers of Commerce annual golf day and I stood on the 10th tee @ Cumberwell Park Golf Club in Wiltshire. The 10th is a short par 4, only 285 yards which slopes left to right and downhill so I hit my Titleist 905F 3 wood with what I like to call my "power fade" and the line was perfect. When we reached the green I couldn't see my ball and my playing partner went and checked the hole and there it was, a Titleist Pro V1 at the bottom of the cup! Many players have hit the green but this is the first and only time the hole has been aced. I also finished with the best overall gross score, best individual score and won the putting competition. I only started playing golf I 2001 an this was my 7th hole-in-one so you could say that I'm the luckiest amateur in the world because my first 3 were in the space of 5 weeks all at Erlestoke Golf Club where I was a member!
