An Ace for Dad

I play in a league on Friday nights at Berlin Country Club in Massachusetts. This Friday was a little different as it was exactly one week since my sister and I had buried our father. I told my friends and other league member that in my dads honor I would be playing that night using his clubs, his bag, and his Titleist golf balls. Emotions were high all around and even one of my friends came up to me jokingly and said " I bet you will get a hole in one tonight!' I laughed not thinking much about it. As I came up to the forth hole, par-3, I took out his TM 9-Iron. I took my swing and watched the ball hit the ground, bounce once, and then disappear. I stood there stunned! Before I knew it I was mobbed with high-fives and hugs from everyone. Word quickly traveled around the course and through the clubhouse so when I finished my round there was a large group waiting to congratulate me and get their free drink. As in our league if you get a hole in one you have to buy everyone a celebratory drink.

Im not a huge believer in signs from above, but I know my father helped put the ball in the hole that day.
