Andrew Schulenberg, 8 iron, 143 yards

At wild horse golf course in Gothenburg, Nebraska the 9th hole came quickly during an early morning tee time. After a 3 hour drive from Lincoln, Dylan Delaney and I took off on a heralded course in Nebraska for the first time. Our prior holes were quite disastrous at moments, "these greens are like marble" we had come to the concensus. We soon got on a roll and started holing out quick. The 9th hole was sitting 143 yards out from the center of the green. An 8 iron was my choice of club due to the pushy winds moving around 15-19 Mph towards the pin. I swing. My friend Dylan exclaimed "that is the luckiest shot I've ever seen." My ball was up but in a low trajectory straight towards a right side pot bunker/blowout. The ball takes a top spin bounce off the muddy berm of the bunker. We head to take our next shots. Just prior to hitting this shot exclaimed as the luckiest shot ever seen, I pulled a Titleist #2 prov1x out of the bag and marked it with my blue Titleist Sharpie. After search the surrounding area and while Dylan was putting his shot on the green I checked the hole about to get another ball. Blue dots.... Titleist ball.... The luckiest shot Dylan had ever seen was my first hole in one. I went running to the edge of the green exclaiming the newest club i belonged too. The hole in one club.
