Was playing a match play with a friend who is a member of the club and an 11 handicap so we are pretty evenly matched. After 5 holes on the back nine I was 3 up. As we approached the 15th tee box he says to me "I Press." I said as I was putting my tee in the ground "That was a big mistake." I took my swing and the ball was tracking nicely, it hit the green bounced twice and rolled a little bit and disappeared. I thought I hit it over till one of the guys in our group says "You just hit a hole in one." I waited a second and the group behind us from the fairway yells "it was a hole in one." I did a fist pump and let out a yell. Then all of a sudden, one of the other guys from the group behind us says "no you didn't you hit it over the green. I was devastated. As we drove to the hole, the guy I was riding with says "let me look in the hole first." He proceeds to the cup, peeks in and looks over at me with thumbs up. I did another fist pump. As I was walking up to the cup, I bent over to get my Titleist Prov1, looked up at my buddy who pressed me and said to him, "let me get this out of your way." He proceeded to bogey the hole.
