Can't hit a hole in one without a ball!
By NKendall On June 27, 2016
I stepped up to the second to last hole in our team match play event all square. My partner had just won the last hole and we had the tee. He told me to step up and hit a good one. I had a 7 iron in my hand from 148 yard out, because the hole is uphill and usually requires an extra club. I reached in my pocket and didn't have a ball. I ran back to the cart and decided to grab my 8 iron and think about what I wanted to hit at the tee. I dropped my 7 iron and decided to go after the 8. I fired a butter cut that was closing in on the pin. It landed a foot short left of the cup, took one hop, and spun back into the cup and disappeared. I couldn't believe it and finally had my first hole in one! Still on cloud nine 24 hours later!
