I am very lucky to say, I have 3 hole in ones to date and two were witnessed by the same two of my golfing buddies. Which is nice to always have them have your back when telling someone your hole in one stories. One of the hole in ones (also known as a Albatross) was on a short 275 par four. It was nice having 3 of the Titleist hole in one bag tags on my golf bag which always lead to people asking about each one. But I noticed when getting my golf bag ready for golf season in the Chicago area, someone cut (stole) one of the medals off my bag, which I am to believe is on their bag now and their telling some BS stories how, when and where they hit the hole in one. So now I am reaching out to the Titleist Team for a replacement. Please do not take it for granted that your golf bag and clubs are always safe when your round is done and your in the bar having a cold one trying to agree on who owes who for the skins game. In our area I was told people were stealing new drivers by taking the new one from the bag and putting the same head cover on an old crappy driver and putting it back in the bag. In some cases people did not realize it was stolen until they went to the range or play golf again. So once your done playing put them in a safe place if your not sure of there safety.
