I was standing 131 yards from the pin on hole 7 at Blackstone CC outside Phoenix. slight breeze from left to right. Pin far back left in clear view. I hit a pure 9 iron tracking just left of the pin. It landed about 6 yards long and left of the hole. My friend and I then saw the ball slowly moving back down toward the hole. We began to chant "go in, go in" Seconds later the ball dropped. We screamed, jumped and disturbed all the golfers within 5 holes of us, but it was my first HIO after playing golf for 30 years...
