Disbelief!

After playing golf for over 35 years I finally made a hole in one! I was playing at one of my regular courses and playing alone. Just trying to get 9 holes in and be done in time to take my daughter and family out for her birthday dinner. I was playing quick and striking the ball well. I had just missed a birdie put on the first hole #10 and then a bogey on the 11th. I hit my seven iron on the 12th hole a 168 yard par 3 and was hitting into the sun to a shaded green. I hit the ball very well with a smooth finish and tracked the ball almost to the green when I lost it in the sun. As I approached the green I was disappointed to not see a ball on the putting surface and I proceeded up the elevated side with 60 degree wedge to search the sand trap for my ball. There was no ball in the trap. I then looked down the back slope and thought it may have rolled off the back into the tall grass. Again, no sign of my ball. I figured I would walk back up on the putting surface and look for a ball mark to show me the line of my ball. As I passed the hole I looked down and saw my Titleist Pro V 1 #5 sitting in the bottom of the cup. Dis-Belief!!!! I then realized that I was alone - no witness!!!! No one to high five!! Standing there in total disbelief!! I was out there solo fist pumping and jumping around all by myself! Then I called several of my regular golf partners and not one of them answered the phone. I finished the side still solo and then ventured into the bar for a celebratory beer. There was one lady in the bar and I bought her a drink as is the custom. Here's to Disbelief! I just hope it doesn't take another 35 years for the next one!
