I've been playing for over 50 years and have come close but...... Finally, on July 2, 2018, at Blue Mash Golf Course in Laytonsville, MD, where I'm a member my perseverance paid off. Hole 6, 107 yards with a pitching wedge on a bright sunny day. Made a good swing and ball was headed right at pin. It it the green, bounced twice and disappeared.... I asked my playing partners "Did that go in?" They both agreed that it sure looked like it. Got to green and walked to hold and there it was - FINALLY!!! My FIRST Hole In One!!
