Finally - It Was A Thing of Beauty

On April 13, I suffered a heart attack and was transferred to UW in Madison to get some help. The weather in Wisconsin up to that point was terrible so golf was not an option but the upcoming weekend was suppose to be in the 70's ... perfect for golfing (FYI - I don't like playing in weather that's less than my age --- I'm 68). Anyway, I obviously couldn't play due to my ticker problem but the great doctors at UW Hospital patched me up and sent me home to recover a couple of days later. On April 24, I decided I was feeling good enough to play so I went out to my brothers golf course (Spring Creek Golf Center) and signed up for the weekend skins game. Hole #3 is a beautiful par 3 (as they all are). I took out my 8 iron, relaxed, swung nice and easy and nutted it. The ball hit the green just left of the pin, bounced once and spun back into the hole. I almost had another heart attack right there. It only took me 58 years to get one and some said it was the best 'stroke' I had all year. Needless to say I also took a few dollars from the guys in the skins game....which was nice too.
