On November 24 I took my son and granddaughter to Tour 18 in Dallas for a round of golf I had just purchased a new set of Titleist AP1 irons and this was my first round with my new irons. When we got to number 5 hole (par 3) I checked my Garmin Golf GPS for distance to the pin and found it was 165 yards to the pin. About that time the course marshall pulled up to visit and watch us tee off. I hit my new 6 iron directly at the left side of the green and the ball hit and released. It ran up the green and to the right to about 12 ft. pass the hole and then slowly trickled back down the green to the center of the cup. I have been playing for about 40 years and this was my first. This was also a first for the marshall because it was his first day on the job and he was witness to the shot. I have to say that I love the irons and have made several very good long shots with them since the first round.
