First Hole-in-One after 20+ Years

First Hole-in-One after 20+ Years

Walking up to the 6th hole at Troon North - Pinnacle Course I was striking the ball pretty well, but not putting great. It was 190 yards down hill slightly so I know it would probably be playing 180-185. That is was a perfect 6 iron for me. When I stepped up to the ball to begin my practice routine, the group behind us pulled up because this hole had be a popular bottle neck on the course. I wasn't nervous at all because I love to practice with distractions so I can overcome them in tournaments. I've been playing competitive golf since I was 10 years old (I'm 30 now) and have NEVER had a hole-in-one. When I hit that shot, I knew I caught it on the screws and held the finish. I saw it land about 10 feet short and release a little as I had imagined in my third eye. My Pro V1-x caught the slope that I was hoping for, rolling to the hole. Finally disappearing in front of my group AND the group behind us all to see! It was euphoric and the strangers I was paired with at the beginning of my round instantly became cemented in the lore of my golf life. I'm so grateful for this experience and all of the hard work I put into my game vindicated. I know my swing is on the right path (pun intended) and I can't wait for my next hole-in-one!
