First Hole in one at age of 78
By FPolis On May 10, 2016
Playing this game for a long time and never had a hole in one. I was standing on the 14th tee at the Florida Club in Stuart Florida on May 4, 2016, looking at the elevated domed shaped green which I miss more then I hit. The green is hard and the dome causes balls to roll off in every direction. Only three quarters of the flag staff was visible because the flag was in the back. The distance was 130 yards according to my GPS and I was hoping to just get on the green. I took my swing and made a nice high arcing golf shot heading right at the pin. Wow a great shot? Then I hear the ball hit the flag and figured I went off the back. Got to the green looking for my ball in the rear bunker, until my playing buddy pointed to the bottom of the hole and said “looking for this”. There was my ball in the bottom of the cup. Did not see the hole in one but will always remember it. Wow what a feeling. We all had drinks at the clubhouse and I texted my wife to let her know. She was excited.
