First person in my family to get a hole in one

I have grown up on our small 9 hole family run golf course, occasionally golfing, but mostly working and hanging out with the golfers. I didn't pick up golf until after college when I realized that I couldn't play competitive soccer due to injuries. I've been playing for the past three years, maybe once a week. I was out playing with my boyfriend on Thursday afternoon, blowing off some steam from a rough day with all my 5th graders (I teach). I parred the first hole, and bogeyed the followed 2. The 4th hole is a short hole, 133 yards, and I've only managed to hit the green once this year. Every other shot has been in the sandtrap or just short of the green. I stood up on the tee box on hole 4 and swung with my 6 iron. Watching my shot, it was perfect and in my head I was thinking, "Finally I'm going to make it on the green!" The ball hit the front edge of the green and began rolling towards the hole, all of a sudden we heard the ball hit the pin and drop in. I turned to Sam and some colorful language came out of my mouth as I attempted to comprehend what was happening. His face was priceless (he plays quite often and has not gotten one yet). I threw my club and SPRINTED to the green. I honestly have not ran that fast since my last college soccer game, and in my excitement, totally forgot about not running on the green, something engrained in my head from my father the superintendent since I was walking (shhh don't tell him!) Once I got to the hole and saw my ball sitting in the cup I screamed so loudly that many of the golfers heard me all over the course. It was unbelievable, I've been at this golf course my whole life and have served beer and celebrated with plenty of members and friends as they have earned their hole in ones. Needless to say, it took me ages to calm down (I'm still pretty psyched about it) and the rest of that game was torture! My legs were like jelly and my arms were shaking, I just barely broke a 50 (how embarassing!) It's been fantastic as all the members have watched me grow up and take on the game of golf and have expressed their best wishes on my champion shot. I feel very lucky as I was NOT in the hole in one insurance, but as it was a very hot afternoon their weren't too many people there so my bar bill wasn't too awful!

PS: I'm the ONLY one in my family of golfers, this includes uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, brothers, parents, including my father the superintendent!
PPS: I'm the second woman in over 20 years to get a hole in one, and also the youngest at 26 years old.
