I was playing in a member-guest at Colorado Golf Club outside of Denver. Mike Ward Maserati of Denver had donated a couple Maserati Ghiblis as hole-in-one prizes. We were on hole #17, a 187 yard par 3, the sixth hole of our match. The box was ours so I went first. I grabbed a 7 iron but my caddy for the week took it and gave me an 8 saying it was the right club. I teed it up and absolutely flushed it, a high fade right on line. It landed about 10 feet short of the hole and started rolling towards it then, boom, it dropped. The celebration when it went in was loud to say the least. Apparently everyone on the course heard it. I'd just won a 2015 Maserati, which I'm still driving. Of course I was using a Titleist Pro-V1, which is now framed in my office.
