I'm 61 years old and have never had a hole in one, i've played golf since I was 18 years old. I am just an average golfer who enjoys the challenge and time with friends. Anyway, Number 7 at Old Hickory is a par 3 over water with about 30 yards of fairway in front of the green. The pin was towards the front. I used a seven iron, hit it a little thin and I was calling it to get up to clear the pond, my eye sight is not what it used to be! another gentleman on the tee said no it's fine, the ball hit in front of the green, bounced up and then rolled about 20 feet and disappeared in the hole. The guys on the tee said they would believe it when they see the ball in the hole. Sure enough when we walked on the green to the hole there it was in the bottom of the cup!!!!
One of the golfers videoed me getting the ball out of the cup on his smart phone, I only have a flip phone so he can't send it to me! Well, what a great memory!!!
