After close to 50 years of playing golf, I finally got my 1st Hole in One this past Sunday June 5th 2016. It was from the Blue Tee on the 8th hole of my home course Grand Haven Golf Club. I used a Titleist 7 iron and my ball was a Titleist Pro V1 which I had personalized with my nickname GEEZER printed on it. I have been a member of Grand Haven Golf Club for 40 years and have estimated playing close to 4000 rounds there. A friend of mine from Texas has been visiting me every 4th of July for the past 35 years, and last year on the 8th hole recorded his own Hole in One. I was so happy to accomplish the feat on the same hole that my buddy got one on last year. The pin was a sucker pin on the front left of the elevated green, you certainly don't want to miss the green to the left on this hole. I aimed for the middle of the green and hit a slight draw and the shot was right at the pin. When the ball hit in front of the hole I yelled "Go In" and it did on the second bounce. I raised my hands in celebration and screamed " I finally got one" My golfing buddies that I play golf with every Sunday afternoon after church patted me on the back and gave me congrats for my good shot. What Fun!
