Hole in One at 73

Well, today in my very senior golf league, The Renegades, I had a special moment. I kind of think of my game as a slot machine. I pull the handle (aka swing) and you never know what will happen. So at the 11th hole at Stoney Creek GC in Shelby Township I got a Hole in One! 128 yards with a 7 iron. I was playing with a 87 year old (Bob) and a 77 year old (Don), both of whom can easily break 100. However, all of us have a bit of trouble seeing the ball at longer distances. We saw it tracking to the green...and then toward the hole...and then it sort of disappeared. When we got to the green there was one ball on the green and another about 10' off the front. Couldn't find my ball. Went looking off the back and then in the hole. There is was!! To top this, Bob chipped in from off the green for a birdie, Don 2 putted for a par and came in third. Sorry no pictures as none of us had a smart phone or a camera. Anyhow, it was a very unexpected event and one I really never thought I would achieve. ⛳️
