I was at Marysville Golf Course playing in our annual Chief Petty Officers Association (CPOA) tournament with the US Coast Guard. We were playing a scramble. We were doing average. Then on the seventh hole, 103 yards, I used a 9 iron to chip it up onto the green. I watched it as it came down onto the green close to the pin, thinking it would be an easy putt and then it disappeared. I was ecstatic, my first hole in one! Over all it was a good day, we finished three over par.
