First hole-in-one tonight. Hole #5, par 3, 144 yards. Decided to use my 5 hybrid which I never hit well off the tee, but we had just stood under our umbrellas waiting out a 10-minute hail storm and double rainbow before teeing off and I said, what the heck, let's try this club. I pulled out my beat up Titleist Pro V1 ball I've been using game after game and hit a great shot. It hit the front of the green and snaked towards the hole. But, we couldn't quite see where it ended up. I was afraid to get my hopes up, but my playing partner kept saying "I think it went in". What joy when we saw it in the hole. And...it was the league's closest-to-the-pin competition hole to boot! Woo hoo!
