I swung a 7 Iron on the par 3 15th at Quarry Oaks Golf Course south of Omaha, NE on June 23rd, 2016. I was in town for the Nebraska Utility Contractors Association annual golf tourney. I am a high handicap leisure player. I rarely birdie or play a good round. Truthfully, I was just excited to hit the green. The ball landed about 4 yards beyond the pin and to the left. This would be a fantastic shot for anyone, let alone a hacker like myself. But, for the first time ever, my ball had a crazy amount of backspin. It bounced once, then made a b line for the cup. It went in! I couldn’t believe it. I even won a trip to Michigan!
