On September 7, 2016 I played the Princeville Makai Golf Course on Kauai, HI, and got an ace on hole 14. Hole 14 is a 250 yard par 4. It was a combination of wind play, a good stroke, and a healthy portion of luck. As Tom Freeman, the club pro said, "The stars were in alignment, and the golf gods were with me" The hole sits along the rocky edge of the Pacific Ocean and is a beautiful layout. As if the ace wasn't enough of a thrill, Tom told me that no one had ever aced this hole, as far as anyone knows. I was the first! He did an interview with me on "Live Time" on their Facebook page. (Princeville Makai Golf Club) This is possibly the most beautiful golf course I have ever played. Every hole is perfectly maintained and the course reflects its commitment to pride and perfection. The staff celebrated my achievement with me, and showered me with gifts. Thank you Makai!! I will remember this day, and that shot forever. (I finished the round with a 79)
