Hole in One Shock

I belong to a private course in Elmsford, NY that goes by the name of Knollwood Country Club. It's a great fun course, par 71 and while some holes are easy pars there are some challenging ones out there. For me on my hole in one day I was with my friend Brian Kelly. We were walking that day because we were under 16 and unable to take a cart. Now my hole in one wouldn't happen until the 3rd hole so I had two par 4's ahead of me, one very challenging and demanding. I would make par on the first hole and bogey on the second, but I was happy my favorite hole was up next. It's the shortest par 3 on the course requiring a shot from usually 120-130 depending on the tee markers and the pin location. As my friend and I, Brian, headed to the tee box I was going to let him hit first because I wanted to take a drink of water, but he insisted that I go. So I figured I would grab my U wedge because the pin was sitting close on the right side of the green. I had 126 to the pin location so I really had to hit this wedge solid. Before I went to address my ball, my friend said this in his exact words, "I have a good feeling you're gonna get a hole in one." My response to that, "Yeah I wish." After saying that back to him it didn't really cross my mind when I went to hit, I was just focusing on landing it close for a birdie chance. So as I swung it came off a little thin but still a pretty descent shot. As it landed a little left of the hole and a little pin high, it immediately spun back right to the hole and dropped in a matter of seconds. When it went in my friend and I just stood there with our mouths open for about 5 seconds and than just started jumping. We didn't know what to do it was really exciting for me. At that point it really didn't matter to me what I shot the rest of the round, I was the happiest kid ever. What made me even more happy is I was -1 going into 4. After the 4th hole i stopped at the pro shop since it was right next to the 5th to give the pro my ball. My club gave me a plaque with the ball on it and a picture of me and my friend. A day I'll never forget
