This was my 8th hole in one and the first one my wife has ever seen live. She was so excited for me. I was more excited about the fact that I just went 7 under after 13 holes and the possibility of shooting my age for the first time was a real possibility. My score for the round was 64 and I was 63 at the time (Par is 71 at Martinsville Golf Club). I actually played very well on my 5 finishing holes but just could not get that last elusive birdie. My round was bogey free which also made it a very special memory. I am now 64 and hope to challenge that age milestone again this year, God willing. Fore!!!
