I stopped at the club house after nine and bought a sandwich to eat along the way. I bought some Pro V's they had for sale too. I had been hitting Pro V1's but at the par three 165 yard 12th, I changed to a Pro V1 x . It had a logo on it and on the tee box I examined it. It was a large JC with a cross in the middle of the initials. I briefly questioned whether I should hit it, and went ahead and did hit it. It sailed through the air right in line with the pin, bounced and disappeared. I thought it might have gone off the back since I hit a six against the wind instead of a seven iron. I went to the green and looked for the ball and didn't see it. That was because it was in the hole. I have been playing golf for 64 years and this is my first one. I have retired the ball.
