Jim Thornley Aug 5 2015 Hole in One
By Jim T On August 5, 2015
Not much of a story other than 3 buddies out playing 18 holes of golf on a beautiful August morning. I am an average 10 Handicap golfer with no special golf talents or abilities. Stepped up to hole number 8 - we hit the flag with a laser at 153 yards from the gold tees (one longer than mens white). I wanted to simply be on the green putting on my next shot - so I pulled out my 8 iron which is usually my 150ish yard club - I hit and although it wasn't a pure hit it was a good hit. The pin was at the top of a ridge/hill on the green - my ball hit about 5 yards short and to the left of the pin and rolled up the hill curving from left to right about 1-2 yards and rolled in the hole. Jeff and Jeremy and I started chatting it up that the ball disappeared and that it may be a hole in one. We drove up and sure enough it was a hole in one....
Love hitting Titleist golf balls - best feel and distance money can by.....
