My oldest 15 yr old son, who has 3 hole in ones, and my youngest 12 yr old son were playing a match at the Country Club of Barre in Vermont. The 15 yr old was giving the younger brother a stroke a hole except the par 3's. After 6 holes, my youngest son was 2 up and looking to close out the match. As he was teeing up the ball on the downhill 136yd par 3 7th hole, he said " if I get a hole in one, I win the match!" At this point, he had never beat his brother. Anyway, he hit the shot using his 5 iron and the ball took off heading right for the back right pin. It landed about 8 ft short, bounced, struck the flag and fell into the hole. He dropped his club, threw his hat in the air and ran around yelling " it went in!!!" My oldest son put his hands over his head in disbelief. I ran around like a lunatic and went and hugged and tackled my son! What a great moment that I will never forget!!!
