After 40+ years of playing golf, I finally did it. We were on a family vacation to celebrate my wife's 60th Birthday, staying in a magnificent villa at the Turtle Bay Resort. The rain which had clouded the first few days of our trip had abated, and I went out on the Fazio Course by myself, getting paired up with 3 guys attending the annual corporate retreat of the Los Angeles Clippers. I was playing all right (not great) when we came up to the 6th Hole, a 155 yard Par 3. I hit a pure 6 iron and knew it was heading for the green. I turned around and started walking back to the cart, and one of my playing companions said it is going in the hole. Skeptical, I kept on walking with my back to the hole. All of a sudden, the 3 guys were jumping up and down and congratulating me. It went it. But I didn't see it until I got up to the green and looked in the hole. And there it was !!!
