My Third

On January 3, 2016 my golf buddy and I had to start on the back nine to avoid slow play. It was cold in Southern Illinois. The wind was coming down from the north and we were both playing better than typical. Coming in to the 159 yd. 16th I was pretty happy with my score and felt that a 38 or 39 on the back would be good in January. The sun was in my eyes when I teed off on 16 but when I turned the AP2 714 7 iron over I knew I was on the green. Jeff said in a calm voice, "That went in the hole." Jeff is a joker and I did not believe him. He said, "No really, I watched it. It's in." "It hit to the right and spun out sideways. Went right in." I still did not believe him until I looked in the hole. Ended up with a 36, one over par. For a 12 handicapper, 36 is something special and an ace, oh my! Thanks for the AP 2's. Great sticks. I won my flight in the biggest two tourneys at my home course this year and have taken 4 shots off of my handicap. Good work!
