What can you say, I've been playing golf for since i was a teenager, so about 35 years now. Witnessed one hole in one during that time. I've never been better than a 15 handicap.
Hole #3 at Wheatley Hills is basically all carry with an ungulating green making it difficult to see the bottom of the flag from the tee box. I hit the right front portion of the green and my ball tracked left toward the stick and out of our sight. Our only clue was the utter excitement of our caddie! He was jumping up and down waving his hands. OMG what a feeling!!
The other good news was that day was what Wheatley Hills called The June Beefsteak outing, a member guest event, so the drinks were ALREADY on the house, thank God!
