Old Mac #5

Old Mac #5

Day three of our 16 man Bandon extravaganza with an 8:00 AM tee time at Old MacDonald. We lucked out with the weather as it was a chilly 40 degrees but the wind was tame by Old Mac standards and there was no rain. I was the last to hit on no. 5 to a front left pin that we gunned at 126 and estimated to be playing about 135. Eddie, my phenomenal caddie for the trip, initially gave me 9 with instructions to land long to the right and have it work back down the slope to the hole. Right before I stepped over the ball he switched me to a PW and told me just go right at it. It worked. Struck it well and landed about 6 ft. short. A check bounce, two little hops, and a trickle to the hole. We all went nuts and it's kind of a blur after that. Grateful that I had three great guys to celebrate with and share the experience. I switch from a white ProV1 to yellow after a struggle in my round on Pacific. I won't be going back for a while. Also, when at Bandon, get a caddie!
